Minneriya can be visited in wetter months too. Still, rain alters what you see on the ground. It also shifts how animals use the area. In the dry season, elephants often gather in very large numbers. That pattern may not show up in the same way when water and plants are common across the reserve.
So a rainy-season trip should not follow the same plan as a top “Gathering” safari.
