Can you comfortably explore Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, and Galle in a fast-paced Sri Lanka itinerary for 8 days?

While it is possible to visit Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, and Galle in 8 days, it will be highly fast-paced and you will probably want a private driver, otherwise it becomes uncomfortably tiring. Trying to rely on public transportation for this exact route inside a week is too slow and exhausting.

A more realistic driving routine is to do two full days around the Cultural Triangle (Sigiriya), then one day in Kandy, afterward take the scenic train up to Ella and stay there for two days. Finally finish with two days along the southern shoreline in Galle. To prevent burnout, book your lodging, and also arrange transport ahead of time, as early as you can.
