About This Tour

Take a 12-day private trip through Sri Lanka. You will see culture, wild scenery, and places that feel off the usual route. This plan is set in advance, so each day has a clear flow.
Start with Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a well-known site with big views. Then visit the old temples at Dambulla. After that, head to Kandy and spend time around the town and nearby areas.
Next, go to Gal Oya National Park. This part is quieter and more remote. You can enjoy calm days in nature. There is also an optional boat safari on the reservoir if you want it.
Then travel through the tea country around Haputale. Keep going to see the Buduruwagala rock carvings. You can also look for birds in Bundala National Park.
Finish with two easy nights near the Rekawa coast. You will have a private tourist driver with you from start to end.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we climb Pidurangala after visiting Sigiriya on Day 02?
Yes, Pidurangala is an optional afternoon visit if the group has the energy and sufficient daylight after the Sigiriya climb. You can instead choose a village visit and return to the hotel.
Why do we stay two nights in the Gal Oya area?
Day 05 is largely for the countryside transfer via Mahiyanganaya. Day 06 then gives you time for a separate optional Senanayake Samudraya boat safari or nature walk without another hotel change.
How is the Gal Oya reservoir boat excursion arranged?
A licensed local operator or your nature lodge can advise on current water levels, conditions and boat availability. The boat activity is optional, priced separately, and wildlife sightings cannot be promised.
What if it is cloudy when we reach Lipton’s Seat?
The viewpoint is included as a suggested morning visit on Day 08, but visibility is weather-dependent. Your driver can adjust the departure time and you can spend longer around Dambatenne and the tea estates if views are limited.
Can we arrange a conservation-led turtle observation at Rekawa?
Day 11 leaves the evening available for an optional locally guided turtle-watching visit. Please follow conservation instructions, avoid disturbing nesting turtles, and remember that sightings are not guaranteed.
