Day 01Airport → Negombo | Arrival & Local Coastal Life⌄

Your private tourist driver will greet you at Bandaranaike International Airport for a short transfer to Negombo.

After checking in, spend time at your leisure. In the event of early arrival, check out the local fishing harbour, wander around the Dutch Canal, or walk along the beach.

Top the evening off with dinner at a restaurant before returning to your hotel.

Day 02Negombo → Kegalle → Kandy | Countryside Drive & Local Markets⌄

After eating breakfast, you’ll check out and begin to make your way towards the Kegalle region.

Stop on the way for some photos, food, and a coffee.

Arrive in Kandy and check in. Later, you can explore Kandy’s Central Market or do some window shopping in town before a walk around Kandy Lake in the evening.

If you like, there is an optional tour of the Temple of the Tooth Relic to round out your cultural experience.

Day 03Kandy → Hanthana → Kandy | Tea Hills & Everyday City Life⌄

Start the day with breakfast, then drive towards the Hanthana hills. Stop for photos and, if you wish, check out the local Ceylon Tea Museum.

For lunch, drive back to Kandy to a local restaurant.

You have some time in the afternoon to check out the Bahirawakanda Temple, shop local for crafts, or explore the neighbourhoods and see more of the city.

In the evening, return to your hotel to have an authentic Sri Lankan meal.

Day 04Kandy → Kelaniya → Colombo | Temple Visit & Capital City Exploration⌄

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to Colombo.

While driving, you can choose to make a brief stop at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya if it works with your schedule.

Arrive in Colombo and grab some lunch before you check in.

In the afternoon, you can walk around the Old Dutch Hospital precinct, do some shopping in the Pettah market area, or check out Independence Square.

You can end your day by taking a walk on the Galle Face Green and dining at one of the restaurants there.

Day 05Colombo → Bandaranaike International Airport | Final Shopping & Departure⌄

Post-breakfast, you are free to do some final packing and to check out of your accommodation.

If you have a late flight out, you could indulge in some last-minute souvenir shopping, or perhaps have one last cup of tea in a café.

Your private tourist driver will take you to Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your international flight check-in.

Can we make a short countryside stop in Kegalle on Day 02?

Yes. The journey from Negombo to Kandy includes the Kegalle region, where you can pause for photographs, coffee or lunch according to your preferred schedule.

Can we choose between Hanthana viewpoints and the Ceylon Tea Museum on Day 03?

Yes. The Hanthana outing can focus on viewpoints, an optional museum visit or a combination, depending on opening hours and your preferred time in Kandy.

Is Bahirawakanda Temple an optional visit on the Kandy day?

Yes. Day 03 leaves some time in the afternoon for Bahirawakanda Temple, local craft shopping or a relaxed city visit. Any entrance fees are separate.

Can we skip Kelaniya Temple and spend more time in Colombo?

Yes. The Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya stop is optional on Day 04. You may continue directly to Colombo and choose from Pettah, Independence Square or the Old Dutch Hospital precinct.

Does the Negombo fishing harbour visit depend on our flight arrival?

Yes. Day 01 is primarily for airport pickup and settling in. A harbour, canal or beach visit is possible only if you arrive early enough and have time after check-in.
