Yes, personal photography is usually allowed at Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, as long as you stay in the approved public viewing area. You may take photos of the rescued elephants during the set viewing times. Please follow all rules posted by the centre.

Do not use flash. Also, avoid any gear that could scare or disturb the animals. Never step over the visitor barriers to get a nearer shot. If you want to do commercial filming or request special photography, speak to the staff in charge first.
