An Udawalawe safari that lasts all day can be a good choice if you really want to photograph animals, watch birds, or take time to look at different habitats. For many visitors, though, a shorter outing already meets the usual expectations for seeing wildlife.

Going for longer gives you more minutes to sit and watch calmly. Still, during the peak heat, animals may move less. Think about what you want to see, how comfortable you are on long drives, and your budget before picking the longer plan. More hours do not automatically mean you will spot rarer animals.
