Can I sleep at Colombo Airport in Sri Lanka?
If you ever end up resting at Colombo Airport, keep in mind that the terminal is not really made for long-term sleep, at least not in any comfortable way. The public seating arrangement is mostly those rigid metal chairs, with almost no armrests, and because of that, it becomes awkward trying to get your body fully flat, especially around the departure or transit sections.
For a better pause during a longer layover, the safer move is to reserve a room at the Serenediva Transit Hotel, which is located inside the airport’s secure zone. If you do not want to commit to a room, another route is to pay for lounge access. Then you can use cushioned seating in a quieter, temperature-controlled environment.
