Can I get a Sri Lanka visa on arrival?

Many passport holders can get a Sri Lanka visa when they arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.

This option is for travellers who did not arrange visa approval ahead of time. Still, using it may mean hours of waiting at the immigration desks. Officials advise you to apply for the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) online before you fly. With an ETA, entry is usually faster. It also tends to cost a bit less than paying for the visa at the airport.
