Can I bring food and drinks on an Udawalawe safari?

Ravana Tour Specialist October 1, 2026

You can usually bring drinking water and some personal snacks on a safari in Udawalawe, as long as you follow whatever the park says right now. But you must not feed wild animals, and you should not leave any food or scraps in the protected area.

Using refillable bottles is a better choice than grabbing extra throwaway items. Put your snacks in properly sealed containers. During the ride, keep your items in the vehicle. Also, listen to the park staff and do what they ask. If you expect the safari to run longer, ask your guide or operator first. Find out if they offer food, or if they allow any agreed stop for refreshments.
