Can I enter Udawalawe National Park without a jeep?
On a standard wildlife safari, guests cannot walk around Udawalawe National Park on their own. Access is only allowed with the right government permit, and you must use vehicle arrangements that match the park rules.
Most people go in a safari jeep built for this kind of trip, usually driven by an experienced safari driver. If you want to use a different vehicle or ask for a special access setup, you should check with the Department of Wildlife Conservation first. Do not assume you can enter independently.
