How do I get to Udawalawe National Park?

Ravana Tour Specialist October 1, 2026

You can get to Udawalawe National Park by private car, taxi, or public transport from places like Colombo, Ella, Tangalle, and Mirissa. If you have your own vehicle or a booked transfer, the trip is often easier for safari guests.

If you plan to use buses, you can ride to Udawalawe or to nearby Embilipitiya. From there, you will need to find transport to the park entrance. For a safari that starts early, it is better to stay close by or book a direct transfer, since buses may not line up with when the park opens.
