Can I Use a Drone Inside Yala National Park?

Do not launch a drone in Yala until you have checked the requirements and obtained the approvals you need, including aviation and protected-area permissions. In Sri Lanka, drone flying is limited to specific zones. Some zones require authorisation, and the rules can change.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka shares a Drone Zone Map. It also tells operators to look up the zone before they fly. For Yala, wildlife and park protection rules may add more limits. Do not assume your small, personal drone is automatically fine just because it is registered.
