Can I Visit Yala National Park from Mirissa or Tangalle?

Yes. Yala can be reached from both Mirissa and Tangalle. The journey from Tangalle is still shorter for most people. If you begin in Mirissa, plan on extra time on the road. This is more important if you want to reach Yala early for a safari.

If you prefer an easy day, stay nearer to Yala for a night or two. Then you can do a morning drive without rushing. Doing a same-day transfer can fit well, as long as your safari time does not force an early hotel departure in the dark. Also, check travel time from your actual place of stay, not just from the nearby town name.
