Which Yala National Park Block Should I Visit?
Block 1 is the most famous safari zone in Yala. Other areas are reachable too, and they can feel calmer for wildlife viewing. What you pick really depends on what is open right now, what animals you want to see, where you will stay, and how you feel about the number of jeeps nearby.
Try not to select a block just because someone says you will see a specific animal. Wildlife moves naturally, and access can change. DWC notes that separate Yala areas use different entry points, such as Palatupana, Katagamuwa, and Galge. Check with your guide or operator about which block they recommend at the moment, and ask for the reason behind that choice.
