Do I get my money back if the tour company terminates my booking?
If a registered tour company terminates your booking because of its own operational problems, you are legally allowed a full refund. But if the termination happens because of a force majeure event, then the refund amount will depend on what exactly your contract says.
Usually, credible operators spell out their cancellation and refund approach in the first agreement paperwork. When they cannot deliver the promised experiences, they will often provide a full refund or a clearly improved alternative option. Also, make sure the firm is registered with the SLTDA, because that helps ensure there is a consumer complaint pathway when something goes wrong.
