If your luggage does not show up on the carousel, report it right away to the Baggage Services desk or Lost and Found counter, which is inside the baggage claim area. Do not leave the customs area before you file a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).

You will need to hand over your baggage tag receipts, your boarding pass, and a description of your bags. The airline will use its tracking system to find your suitcase or cases and, in most situations, arrange for them to be delivered to your hotel in Sri Lanka once it comes in on a later flight.
