Are pharmacies easy to find in Sri Lanka?

In Sri Lanka, finding pharmacies is very easy, especially around cities and big tourist spots. You can usually spot them fast by looking for a green cross sign, or sometimes just the word “Pharmacy” written in English, on the front.

Over-the-counter medicines, simple first aid supplies, and the usual antibiotics are widely available and cost very little across the island. Still, if you need particular prescription medication, it is a good idea to bring enough from home, because the exact brand or very specialised drugs may not be in stock in countryside areas, or in smaller coastal towns.
