What is the best time to visit Sri Lanka for tea plantations?

Sri Lanka is a destination that works all year long for tea lovers. Still, if you’re thinking about going up to the central highlands, especially around Nuwara Eliya and Ella, the best window is usually December through March. This is the dry season. Back then, the atmosphere stayed cool, more clear, and generally gentle, so it became much easier to roam on foot across tea estates, and just linger for the view. The plantations keep their deep green look through the whole year, but those months give the calmest trekking circumstances.
