Route: Airport ➔ Colombo ➔ Kelaniya

Arrive in Sri Lanka and receive a traditional welcome. Proceed to visit Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama is believed to have prayed to Lord Shiva after defeating Ravana. Then visit Manavari Temple, said to be the first Shiva Lingam installed by Lord Rama. Continue to Kelaniya Vibhishana Devalaya, dedicated to King Vibhishana, who supported Lord Rama. Visit Gayathri Peedam, a sacred temple connected with planetary blessings. This day gives spiritual preparation for the Ramayana trail ahead. Overnight in Colombo / Negombo.

Northern Sacred & Mountain Sites

Route: Colombo ➔ Anuradhapura / Sigiriya

Travel towards the ancient northern region. Visit Nilavari Water Well, believed to have been created by Lord Rama’s arrow to provide water for his army. Explore Ritigala, associated with the medicinal herbs brought by Hanuman. Visit Yahangala Mountain, believed to be the site where Ravana’s body was kept after the war. Sita Kotuwa & Ravana’s Kingdom

Route: Sigiriya ➔ Ella

Visit Sita Kotuwa (Gurulupotha), believed to be the palace where Sita Devi was first kept captive. Stop at Dunuwila, believed to be the battlefield where Lord Rama defeated Ravana. Continue to Laggala, a mountain associated with Ravana’s kingdom. In the evening, visit Ravana Falls and Ravana Cave, believed to be part of Ravana’s secret tunnels. Overnight in Ella.

Visit Seetha Amman Temple, believed to mark the exact place where Sita Devi was held captive. Explore Hakgala Botanical Garden, identified as the legendary Ashoka Vatika where Sita Devi stayed. Visit Divurumpola, believed to be the place of Sita’s Agni Pariksha (fire test). Also visit Ravana Kanda, linked with King Ravana’s meditation and power. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Route: Nuwara Eliya ➔ Ramboda ➔ Kandy
