The Elephant Heritage Route
Route: Airport ➔ Pinnawala ➔ KandyArrive at the Airport and proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Watch elephants bathing in the river and see how orphaned baby elephants are cared for. Later, drive to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most religious sites in the world. Overnight in Kandy.
The Royal Hill Country Route
Route: Kandy ➔ Peradeniya ➔ KandyAfter breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, famous for orchids and giant palm trees. Spend the afternoon exploring Kandy city, visiting the local market, and enjoying a traditional cultural dance performance. Take a peaceful evening walk around scenic Kandy Lake. Overnight in Kandy.
The Misty Highlands Route
Route: Kandy ➔ Nuwara EliyaTravel higher into the mountains to Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England.” On the way, stop at a tea factory to see how Ceylon tea is produced and enjoy a fresh cup. No, hotels are excluded from this package. This allows you the flexibility to choose accommodation that fits your budget, or we can provide recommendations upon request.
How long is the drive from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota?
It is a scenic but long drive of approximately 5 hours (210 km), transitioning from the cool mountains to the warm coast. We will make stops for refreshments along the way.
What type of vehicle will be used?
We provide a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle such as a Toyota Prius, Honda Shuttle, or a larger van/bus depending on the number of passengers in your group.
Are entrance fees for the Turtle Hatchery included?
No, all entrance fees (including Pinnawala, Temple of the Tooth, Botanical Gardens, and Turtle Hatchery) are excluded and payable directly at the counters.
Can we customize the pickup location?
Yes, while the route starts from the Airport, we can arrange pickups from hotels in Colombo or Negombo. Please inform us in advance to adjust the schedule.
